Understanding and Treating Sports Injuries Through Kinesiology
Sports injuries are not just setbacks—they are opportunities to restore and optimize movement. From a kinesiological perspective, each injury reflects an imbalance in the way the body moves, absorbs force, or maintains stability. Our goal is not just to relieve pain, but to understand the underlying cause, promote optimal healing, and retrain the body for long-term performance and injury prevention.
Our Approach
At Clinique Kiné Fara, our approach to sports injuries varies depending on how recent the injury is:
-
For acute (recent) injuries, we begin by stabilizing the affected area using kinesiology taping techniques. This helps reduce pain and pressure, allowing the body to begin healing in the most optimal conditions, without unnecessary stress on the injured tissues.
-
For chronic (older) injuries, we move directly into the rehabilitation phase. First, we identify which muscle, ligament, or tendon has been affected using proven physiotherapy assessment techniques. Once the exact location and type of injury are clear, we gradually increase blood flow to the injured area using elastic kinesiology bands in a safe and controlled manner. Enhanced blood circulation supports faster and more effective healing.
The rehabilitation strategy is tailored based on the type (muscle, tendon, or ligament) and severity of the injury, ensuring a personalized recovery process that respects your body’s pace and needs.
